The Parcel #3...

My name is Alice,
And I have these obsessions...

I don't know if I have to mention this anymore but at the beginning of the year I saw an advertisement on television for The ParcelIt is a sample box of brands selected by a team from marie claire (or Girlfriend magazine, if you please) for your trial and testing. You can click here to see what I got in my last box of goodies. I have finished testing all of the products in this 20th Anniversary Edit and am super excited to share the products with you.

"I love this time of year. The weather's warming up and, for us at marie claire, it's an extra special season as we're celebrating the big 2-0! To mark this milestone, we've selected some great new buys and all-time favourites for you to enjoy.

Included in the 20th Anniversary Edit was:

Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum

When I first picked this product out of the box I tested a little bit of it on the back of my hand and I think I developed a little bit of a product crush on it. It is really light and absorbs into your skin strangely. It absorbs quickly but leaves a sort of powdery finish, I compared it to a liquid to powder foundation or BB cream when describing it to my little sister. It leaves your skin feeling super smooth and super moisturised without that sticky feeling because of the liquid to powder feel it has.

L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick
I love this lipstick. The consistency is beautiful and smooth and all of the colours are intensely pigmented. But I am super excited to say that I didn't try this lipstick. I went into the shops and tried the testers that they had there so that I could save this one for A GIVEAWAY!! I am not too sure when it is going to happen just yet but I am getting very excited. Stay tuned for details and spread the word wherever you are from.
St. Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower
I am not a real fan of instant tans, I don't trust my skills enough to be able to make it look perfect so if looking at a tanning product I am always up to try and gradual tan. This one is a lot different to the current gradual tan I use, which is the Le Tan Gradual Tan Body Lotion (that has an SPF 15). With the St. Tropez one, you apply it and leave for 3 minutes to sit on your skin before rinsing it off. Smell is a big thing for me in tanning products and really any product I use, and this one smells a bit like baby oil (obviously something I am happy with the smell of as I have been using it on my skin every night for a while now). Because I have been using the Le Tan over the past few days I couldn't try this one on my skin but I put some one Heidi to test it out. Obviously, there was no instant effect but after a day her skin was a little more tan. It would work a lot better if you used the product every couple of days to refresh it, as the instructions suggest.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Smooth Start Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner

I love John Frieda Shampoos & Conditioners. To be honest, I haven't even opened the brand new LUSH Godiva Shampoo and Conditioning Bar since I bought the John Frieda Beach Blonde Range (after trying it in The Parcel Winter Edit, what a coincidence). To start with, I love this packaging. On both the front and back it has written in large print "SHAMPOO" or "CONDITIONER". YESSS!! I always spend ages, water running in my eyes, trying to find which bottle is which. Unlike the current John Frieda Beach Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner I am using, this one has no spectacular smell to it; just your average shampoo and conditioner smell. So it is meant to ease frizz and hydrate your hair and I think it did exactly that. My hair normally turns into a complete frizz ball after washing it because I just leave it to air dry, which takes about 15 minutes, but I think this actually made difference to how frizzy it was. It would also help it I blow dried it, like I did for about a month when I first bought a roller brush.

MOR Rosa Noir Hand & Body Milk
This cream smells good enough to eat, as do all of the other MOR products I have tried and tested. It is nice a thin and absorbs into your skin pretty well, which is something I really look for in a summer moisturiser. I hate it when moisturisers leave you skin sticky and this one definitely doesn't. And the best three things about it are that it is made in Australia, not tested on animals and has really sweet packaging.
Redwin Coconut Balm
Mmmmm. I am a huge fan of coconut oil; whether it is in cooking or as a beauty product. Normally I would just use coconut oil on my lips but this is really nice. You can use it as a lip balm, hand cream, on insect bites, cuts, anything really. I have only tried and tested it on my lips and hands and it is delightful. The tiniest bit goes the longest way, so I am sure this tube will last me well past the end of the year.
Estée Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge Eau de Parfum
Yet another perfume that brings me to tears (The other one is the Ralph Lauren Midnight Romance). I love the smell of this perfume and I have found that it lasts for ages, you only need to spray it on in the morning and you are good for the entire day. The reason it brings me to tears? $120 for a 50mL bottle *cries* I am going to ration this tiny sample I have until I have the bank account and confidence to frivolously spend $120.
Also a really good thing about The Parcel this time around is that they have included an ingredients list, which is something they haven't done for the past two packages I have received.
