On the Fourth Day of Christmas...

My name is Alice,
And I have these obsessions...

Welcome to my 12 Days of Christmas!

I love a good DIY and I am also dreaming of a White Christmas (It will happen one day...) so I have made a White Christmas Tea Light Holder. These look very sweet and are very easily personalised, so you can easily make yours an Australia Beach Christmas in a jiffy.

You will need:

- A jar (size is your choice just make sure it will fit a tea light in it)
- Spray Snow or White Spray Paint
- Epsom Salts
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Dark piece of card/paper for the skyline
- Template for the town scene or an artsy streak as I had (Yes- I drew my one myself)
- Craft knife or a steady hand and a pair of scissors
- Glue
- Tea Light

You just:

1. Measure the circumference of your jar and cut the card down to the right length or add on extra card.
2. Find out how high you want your town to extend and cut to size.
3. Then sketch your town onto the paper. I put a skyline of several different houses and trees using a template I got from Shabby Art Boutique.

4. Cut out the silhouette with a sharp craft knife. MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE EXTRA AT ONE END FOR A TAB FOR GLUING!
5. I then sprayed the top of the jar with white spray paint from a great distance to created the snow effect. When it was dry, I glued the town onto the jar by connecting the ends together.
6. Fill the base of the jar with Epsom Salts (to continue the snow effect and add some weight to the jar) and place your candle in the centre.

Here were my results! I modified mine slightly by adding heaps of Epsom Salts for a bit more of a snow effect. I'd love to see yours so comment them below or tag me in your post on Twitter or Instagram, if you make one.

Stay Excited, Be Joyful and Merry Christmas.
