Living Alone, Conquering the Unknown

My name is Alice,
And I have these obsessions…

Night 2
Coming home to an empty house

The peach trees are full of flowers at the moment and the amount of bees is crazy!
Tonight coming home from work, I conquered something I never thought I could. I drove through the thickest fog I have even driven in and turned into my grandparents driveway (keep in mind it is literally on a blind corner and you can’t see the cars or their headlights coming in this fog). I did it and didn’t die- which is the only reason I am writing this now.

Although, once I reached the top of the hill I was all alone. It is kind of weird coming home to an empty house after coming home to a bustling family home for so long. Knowing that no one else is there is kind of weird. It is great though knowing that no one is there to nag on you or drive you crazy when all you want to do is have a bath, sit down and chill out (I love my family but let’s be honest who doesn’t want to come home every now and then to the peace and quiet of being alone?).

I also re-conquered the dinner deal by making chicken and vegetables, followed by conquering the ultimate adult job of washing all of the dishes up straight after I finished dinner.
