Nad's Ingrown Solution...

My name is Alice,
And I have these obsessions…

This blog post covers a topic that may be offensive or a little TMI for people with high sensitivity, or of young ages. It also details personal information and although I have attempted to write it in a 'straight over their heads' manner, some things have only one way that they can be said; how they are.

I don’t know what it is but my skin, and hair type just don’t get along at all. So wherever hair is removed, it is more than likely I’ll end up with ingrown hairs. It doesn’t matter what I do: try different types of hair removal, exfoliate, or moisturise morning and night, nothing helps.

When Heidi was with me the other weekend we went down to Woolworths and I found this.

It is the Nad’s Ingrown Solution. It is a combination of (obviously all these chemicals and extracts) aloe vera and chamomile that actually helps ingrown hairs in areas including legs, arms and bikini. The formula itself isn’t sticky or oily, it is much like a hand sanitiser as it dries. The packaging isn’t anything fancy, but the top of the bottle has a little stopper in it, so it is impossible to pour out too much.

The first night I used it, I really didn’t feel like it did anything. Put it on, it dried and I went to bed.

I woke up the next morning and this stuff had done its job. I seriously had ingrown hairs popping up left, right and centre. I am one of those people who love popping pimples and these ingrown hairs were like 100 pimples. I think the worst part was the ones that you didn’t know were there that were longer than 1cm (I’m not even kidding, it was pretty gross).

I continued applying the solution for a couple of days and it has done a really good job of clearing up all of my ingrown hairs.

It is also meant to help prevent them as well, so after shaving my legs and armpits, I applied some. It did sting a little bit because of the alcohol based solution going onto bare, open skin. I don’t get too many ingrown hairs  in these areas but I am hoping the few that I do get, will be prevented.

I will let you know how this product goes in my monthly favourites, which will be in MELBOURNE!
