DIY Lipscrub...

My name is Alice,
And I have these obsessions...

I love lip scrubs. My lips are super dry at times and the only thing that can really fix them is either a toothbrush and some lip balm or a lip scrub. My absolute favourite lip scrub of all time would have to be the LUSH Bubblegum Sugar Lip scrub. It come in a little 25g pot, smells amazing and will set you back about $10. Now that is pretty alright for such an amazing lip scrub, but I figured how hard would it be to recreate the LUSH lip scrub as my own (yeah- pretty much steal it).

I popped down to the shops (and in my pantry at home) and found a few things that I knew would go together to make the perfect lip scrub. I also just read the ingredients on the LUSH pot and did a little bit of research into lip scrubs on the Internet.

I just used:
- 1 tablespoon caster sugar (fine white sugar)
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon (give or take) of rose water

All you do is mix all of your ingredients together and pop them into a little container to store. I found that after a little while the scrub does harden up, to fix this all you have to do is add a few drops of either rose water or regular water and mix it together again.

Because of the rose water, the lip scrub is like sugar musk lollies. It is delicious on your lips and, after I accidentally picked my lip scrub up instead of face scrub, I discovered it is great for your skin as well. BONUS!

I definitely recommend trying this lip scrub if you are in need of a new LUSH one or just looking to test the lip scrub waters. :)
